To us, quality matters. We source teas directly from traditional farms and crafters in rural areas of China and Taiwan, bypassing the dubious claims and high prices of urban markets.
How We Get Our Teas
We acquire our teas and teawares from a community of growers and artisans at origin. Each year, we schedule our annual buying trip to coincide with the Spring tea harvest. For green and white teas, this means we are usually in Fujian, Anhui, and Zhejiang from late March through mid-April. For oolongs, we are in Taiwan, Anxi, Wuyi and Chaozhou from mid-April through May. Our sourcing trips also take us to areas of Yunnan, Guangdong, and Jiangsu in the search for quality craftsmanship.
We recognize that it might be easier to work through distributors or make purchases through large tea markets, but we know that the effort we make allows us to confidently offer the highest quality teas and teawares.
Our Dedication to Quality
After 30 years of sourcing traditionally crafted, loose leaf teas, you could say we're spoiled. We have come to expect that every tea we drink should be explosively flavorful, crafted with care, and free of chemicals or additives. These are the standards of quality we enforce during our own sourcing process.
We trace our teas back to the gardens and hands that crafted them, and take pride in the knowledge and experience that allows us to select only the best. While other tea sellers may market their products with mystical tales or claims of medicinal benefits, we prefer to use more practical measures of quality, and focus on the captivating nuances of natural flavor that make our own tea experiences so memorable.
Most of all, we strive to connect our customers to teas they love. Apply for our wholesale program today to get personalized recommendations for your business.
