Assam Iced Tea

One of three Formosa Reds from a tea garden located just outside Yu-chih Village, in the hills surrounding Sun Moon Lake, Nantou County, Taiwan. This is a pure-stock Assam, brought to Taiwan in the first half of the 20th century by the colonial Japanese in an effort to develop a successful export tea crop in Taiwan.

Our Formosa Red, Assam comes to us from a third generation grower, and is recommended as a milk tea base for a variety of tea beverages. The smaller leaves sifted from each harvest are mixed with natural vanilla powder and conveniently packaged in cotton bags for ease of service in cafes and restaurants.

Each large tea bag contains 60g of tea. Sold in packs of 10 bags or a carton of 12 packs (120 bags) for frequent use.

Brewing Guide
Simmer tea bag with 1 gallon of water for 15 minutes, then let cool and serve with ice.
Each pre-packed bag makes 1 gallon of iced tea.
