Tea Sachets

Our packable Tea Sachets make it easy to enjoy your favorite whole leaf teas with all the convenience of a tea bag. Crafted from a premium, plant-based material, our Tea Sachets won't alter the taste of your tea and they're even industrially compostable after use!

To open a sachet, gently squeeze the sides of the paper tag, then add your tea leaves and infuse. Once the tea reaches your preferred strength, remove the sachet. For the best taste, follow the brewing recommendations provided with your tea or refer to our complete tea brewing guide.

Our Tea Sachets are made from PLA (polylactic acid), which is a plant-based biopolymer. PLA is produced by fermenting sugars from plant sources (ie. corn, sugarcane, beets, etc.) into lactic acid, which is then polymerized into PLA. Unlike traditional "silken" tea bags (which are made from non-biodegradable nylon, which breaks down into microplastics that persist in the environment and body), PLA is an industrially compostable material that biodegrades into lactic acid, carbon dioxide, and water through the process of hydrolysis.
 
We selected PLA for our Tea Sachets because it is an unbleached, flavor-neutral material that will not affect the taste of your tea, while also mitigating the risk of microplastics from "silken" nylon sachets as a more environmentally friendly, biodegradable alternative.

Each pack includes 80 Tea Sachets.
